What is the difference between Dueflow and PayDues?
PayDues is a Stripe-based dues collection platform for fraternities and sororities with no subscription, setup, or per-member fee. Instead it takes a platform fee on every payment – published as starting at 0.5% and typically 0.5% to 1% – on top of roughly 2.9% + 30¢ card processing, and the chapter chooses whether members pay that fee or the chapter absorbs it. Dueflow charges chapters no platform or per-member fee – a 100-member chapter pays $0 a year and members cover processing when they pay. Dueflow takes no percentage of collections either, and adds a merch store, Klarna, and Form 990 filing that PayDues's site does not list.
Chapters and nationals running on Dueflow.
Two 'free for chapters' prices, two different fee models.
PayDues's pricing page says 'Free for chapters' and then explains that 'a small fee applies per payment': standard card processing of about 2.9% + 30¢ plus PayDues's own platform fee, which 'starts at 0.5% and varies with your chapter's agreement – typically between 0.5% and 1%'. The chapter either passes that on to members or absorbs it. Dueflow's price is a platform fee of $0 for chapters and nationals with no percentage of dues; members pay a flat fee by payment method ($2, $10, or $15 by ACH) that is published on dueflow.co/pricing.
Annual platform cost
Time managing dues
*PayDues platform fee applied to $100,000 of dues collected by a 100-member chapter in one school year at the 0.5%–1% range PayDues publishes (paydues.net/pricing, checked September 2026). This is the amount the chapter pays if it absorbs fees; in pass-through mode members pay it instead and the chapter's platform cost is $0, the same as on Dueflow. Card processing (about 2.9% + 30¢ on PayDues) is excluded from both sides. Your PayDues rate depends on your agreement.
When to choose Dueflow, and when PayDues may fit.
We're biased, so here is the honest split.
Choose Dueflow if you never want a percentage of dues leaving the chapter
Dueflow's platform fee is $0 with no cut of collections at any volume, and the member fee is flat and published. On PayDues the platform fee scales with every dollar you bill, and if the chapter absorbs fees it comes out of the budget.
Choose Dueflow if you want the whole money stack
Both platforms handle dues, plans, reminders, late fees, reimbursements, budgets, and nationals reporting. Dueflow also runs a merch and ticket store, Klarna, QuickBooks Online sync, and Form 990 filing at the same $0.
PayDues may fit if you want to absorb fees so members pay the exact invoice
PayDues's 'absorb' mode lets members pay exactly the invoice amount while the chapter covers a percentage-based fee, and its bank-first autopay can cost a member less per payment than a flat fee on smaller dues. If that trade is worth 0.5%–1% of collections to your chapter, evaluate it.
A whole team in your corner
When you need a hand – a question at 11pm, a fix before dues go out – you get real people who answer fast. Support, engineers, and operators who actually build for you, not a ticket queue.

Every chapter finance job in one login, without a cut of collections.
PayDues covers dues, autopay, payment plans, reminders, reimbursements, budgets, fundraising pages, and nationals reporting. Dueflow covers the same and adds a merch and ticket store, Klarna, QuickBooks sync, and Form 990 filing, at a flat member fee rather than a percentage.
Fee model
A flat fee the member sees, not a percentage of the chapter's money.
PayDues prices as a percentage: about 2.9% + 30¢ processing plus 0.5%–1% platform fee on every payment, split however the chapter decides. Dueflow publishes a flat fee per payment method ($2 ACH on dues under $100, $10 on $100–$399, $15 on $400+) that the member pays at checkout, so the chapter's platform cost is $0 whether it collects $10,000 or $500,000.
Payment methods
ACH, card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Klarna, partial payments.
PayDues collects by card or bank transfer through Stripe and steers members to bank-first autopay. Dueflow adds Klarna buy-now-pay-later (the chapter is paid in full up front), partial payments at the member's own pace, bulk payments with lower combined fees, and Apple/Google Pay.
Beyond dues
Store, QuickBooks, and Form 990 in the same books.
PayDues lists fundraising campaign pages and CSV/PDF exports. Dueflow adds a merch and ticket store with inventory, QuickBooks Online sync, and Form 990 filing with CPA review, so the next treasurer inherits one set of books instead of exports.
Dueflow vs PayDues: common questions
How we made this comparison
Dueflow wrote this page, so read it as a vendor comparison. Here is exactly what we compared, where the numbers came from, and when we last checked them – verified September 19, 2026.
What we compared
- A 100-member chapter over a full academic year (two semesters), the size we see most often.
- Platform and per-member fees only. Payment processing fees are listed separately because on Dueflow the member covers them, so the chapter's platform cost is $0.
- Published list pricing where the competitor publishes it. Where it does not, the figure is an estimate and we say so on this page.
- $1,000 of dues per member per year ($100,000 collected by the chapter), the volume the PayDues platform-fee percentage is applied to.
How we priced PayDues
PayDues publishes its pricing: no subscription, setup, or per-member fee, and a platform fee on every payment that starts at 0.5% and 'typically' runs 0.5% to 1% depending on the chapter's agreement, on top of card processing of about 2.9% + 30¢. The chapter chooses whether members cover that fee or the chapter absorbs it. The dollar figures on this page apply the published 0.5%–1% range to $100,000 of dues collected by a 100-member chapter over a school year; your rate depends on your agreement with PayDues.

- PayDues – Pricing – 'No subscription, no setup fee, no per-member charge'; platform fee 'starts at 0.5% … typically between 0.5% and 1%'; card processing 'about 2.9% + 30¢'; pass-through vs absorb fee modes; feature list (batch invoicing, autopay, payment plans, reminders, late fees, reimbursements, fundraising pages, reports, exports, multi-chapter reporting).

We're biased – Dueflow wrote this page. Every PayDues claim above comes from paydues.net (homepage, pricing, and llms.txt) as reviewed in September 2026; where PayDues's site does not mention a feature we say 'not listed' rather than 'not offered', and your PayDues platform rate depends on your agreement.
