Delinquent Account

A member account that is significantly overdue on payment.

A delinquent account is one where dues remain unpaid well past the deadline. Chapters typically have an escalation policy — reminders, a payment plan offer, loss of privileges, and ultimately referral to nationals or removal — for accounts that become delinquent. Clear policies and automated reminders keep delinquency rates low.
