Officer Transition

The handoff of a role and its records from an outgoing officer to the incoming one.

Officer transition is the annual handover when a new exec board takes over. For finances, a good transition means the incoming treasurer inherits complete records — payment history, the ledger, reimbursements, and reports — instead of reconstructing them. Systems that retain history across turnover are what prevent the yearly 'start from scratch' problem.
