Financial Audit

A review of a chapter's financial records to verify they're accurate and complete.

A financial audit is a check of the chapter's books — comparing the ledger, bank statements, and receipts to confirm everything reconciles. Audits may be run by the chapter, the advisor, or nationals, especially at officer transition. A continuous, well-documented ledger with receipts makes an audit fast instead of frightening.
