Late Fee

An additional charge applied when dues are not paid by the deadline.

A late fee is a penalty added to a member's balance when payment misses the due date. Late fees encourage on-time payment and offset the cost of chasing overdue accounts. Many chapters pair them with an early-bird discount so the same base amount has a lower 'pay early' price and a higher 'pay late' price.
