Collections for serious non-payers
When reminders, payment plans, and late fees aren't enough, escalate unpaid balances to a licensed collections partner — on your terms. Coming soon.
Some balances outlast every reminder
Most members pay once reminders and payment plans make it easy. But nearly every chapter carries a few balances that survive graduation — members who went inactive, moved out, or simply decided the chapter would give up first. Today those debts either get written off or turn into months of personal messages nobody on exec wants to send, and the chapter's budget quietly absorbs the loss.
A last resort that actually exists
Dueflow will let you escalate seriously delinquent balances to a licensed, FDCPA-compliant collections partner directly from your dashboard — with you deciding which balances qualify, when escalation happens, and what gets resolved. Every step stays documented in the member's payment record, and recovered funds flow back to the chapter like any other payment. This is on our roadmap — join the early-access list to be first in line.
You control escalation
Set the thresholds — how overdue, how large — and explicitly approve every balance before it's sent to collections.
Licensed and compliant
Escalated balances are handled by a licensed, FDCPA-compliant collections partner — not by exec members sending texts.
Aging balance tracking
See which balances are 30, 60, or 90+ days overdue so escalation decisions are based on data, not memory.
Every step documented
Reminders sent, plans offered, escalation approved, funds recovered — the full history lives on the member's record.
Fair warning first
Members get clear notice and a final chance to start a payment plan before anything is escalated.
Recovered funds flow back
Money the partner recovers lands in your books like any other payment — reconciled automatically.
How collections will work
Collections support is in development. Here's the flow we're building toward.
Balances age in plain view
Your dashboard shows which balances are 30, 60, or 90+ days overdue — escalation decisions start from data.
You set the bar and approve
Define how overdue and how large a balance must be, then explicitly approve each escalation. Nothing is automatic.
A licensed partner takes over
Escalated balances go to an FDCPA-compliant collections partner — your officers never make a collections call.
Recovered funds come home
Recovered money flows back to the chapter like any other payment, with the full history on the member's record.
A credible last resort changes behavior early
Most chapters will never send a single balance to collections — and that's the point. The reason long-overdue balances exist is that everyone involved knows the chapter's only enforcement tool is a group-chat message. When a real escalation path exists, the calculus changes months earlier: reminders get taken seriously, payment plans get accepted, and balances get resolved while they're still easy to resolve.
Dueflow's reminders, late fees, and payment plans already handle the vast majority of overdue balances. Collections is for the residue those tools can't reach — the graduated member, the one who went inactive mid-semester, the balance everyone has quietly written off.
Compliant by construction
Debt collection is regulated for good reason, and chapter officers should never be improvising it over text. Escalated balances are handled end-to-end by a licensed, FDCPA-compliant collections partner — trained on what can and can't be said, when contact is allowed, and how disputes must be handled.
The chapter's role stays clean: decide which balances qualify, approve each one explicitly, and watch every step land in the member's documented record. Members are never surprised — they get notice and a final chance at a payment plan before anything escalates.
