The money allocated to recruiting new members — events, materials, and registration costs.
A recruitment budget funds the events, food, marketing, and materials used to recruit new members, plus any council registration fees. Because recruitment drives the chapter's future dues income, it's one of the highest-return budget lines — underfunding it can shrink the next pledge class and the budget that follows.
